What is the body? Is it just bones, muscles, and tissue? Have you ever felt healthy than sick again and don’t know why? Will you ever be happy with your body? Do you feel stuck in your own body? Want to know how you can heal your body?
Your body is the instrument of your soul. The physical expression of your emotions and thoughts. Through your body, you project who you are inside. If you are happy and healthy inside then you project that outwards. This is why it is so important to healing the inside first then our outer physical self will express our internal wellbeing.
Think about it, if you feel sad or if you have digestive problems, that gets reflected on your face and body.
I remember when I first moved to the United States, it was a shock because I had to get in the car to go places, I stopped moving my body like I used to back in the family farm, I started eating lots of food (including fast food), and I started feeling sad. Then my body started looking how I felt and acted. I felt stuck under the pounds of extra fat. I was getting sick and the more I felt this the sicker and the more depressed I became. I was on a downward spiral. I often dream myself falling off a cliff into a dark bottomless abyss. It wasn’t until I realized and became aware that I could and had the power to climb out of there and be free and get unstuck. I started exercising daily and nourishing my body with healthy foods, thinking positive thoughts, and soon I started feeling healthy and happy and my body started to look that way also!!
It’s so important to care for your body and the best way to do so is from the inside out. Drink water, eat nourishing foods, do activities that nourish your body and soul like hiking, going to the beach for a swim, skiing, take your dog for a walk or to the park. Every single action you take has an impact on your body. Even your thoughts have an impact on your physical body.
Remember what I said in my last blog post? The mind is the connection between the spiritual and physical worlds. If our mind is not healthy then our body reflects that. Think of the body as a mirror that shows us the images we hold in our mind, the thoughts we think, the actions we take, and the foods we consume.
I know you’re going to say that there are people who are sick or have physical limitations or that they are born that way due to their genes. Well, yes there are people who have different physical abilities and still, they do all they can to maximize what they can do. And many people can say that they have limitations, but in reality, they don’t have limitations, at least not the same limitations than the rest of us have. Their drive to do better and to learn to move their bodies in the most effective way is limitless. At times I feel I’m the one with physical limitations but in reality, the limitations are in my mind. Many amazing athletes do incredible things with their bodies, they know what they want, they think about it, they work, they practice and condition their bodies to adapt and then be able to do what they want.
Everything in the universe is an expression of energy. Energy is always transforming, therefore our bodies always transform. Millions of cells in our bodies die and reproduce throughout the day and continue to do so even after our physical death. Knowing that our bodies are energy and that our emotions and thoughts are energy (in a different form), then I can say that we can shape our body to do incredible things. We can think about health and our body will express health, we can think about feeling happy and our body gives us physical sensations of joy and happiness.
How to Spring Clean Your Body??
One of the easiest and simplest ways I’ve found throughout the years is by Meditating. In meditation, you can find that middle ground between the physical and spiritual worlds and throughout that bring healing to your body. You can release feelings of heaviness or stress and help your body feel light, calm, and healthy.
If you are not into meditation (although I highly recommend) you can try the following:
Visualizing – you can take 5 minutes or more and really just focus on seeing your body healthy, fit, and light. Visualize yourself eating nourishing foods and enjoying them. Then feel gratitude for having the healthy body you want. It’s such a simple exercise and really has a powerful impact on your body.
Get Active – take your body to pleasant natural places like the mountains, forest, park, the beach, a lake, even the gym. Just remember that the more natural the place you go to the greater the health benefits. After doing this you will feel calm, grounded, relaxed, and good.
To maximize results I suggest you try a combination of these techniques.
