The best healthcare is self-care. We live such busy lifestyles that we often forget about caring for ourselves. I recommend my clients to practice self-care on a daily basis or at least and at the very minimum once a week.
The 3Rs of Self-Care are:
Rest
Relax
Refresh
Rest. Good quality and quantity of sleep are truly beneficial to your health and wellbeing. A good night’s rest and sleep will allow your body to repair tissues and go through the processes of natural detoxification.
Relax. It’s hugely beneficial to you to take some time 5-10 breaks throughout the day. If you have a hectic overly productive and stressful day to day work or lifestyle then giving yourself some time to relax is going to help you clear your mind and get things done faster than if you were to force yourself to keep going. A mini meditation during your lunch break can increase your productivity exponentially!
Refresh. More than taking a pleasant bath or shower it means that you do something that you love doing, something that makes you feel joy and puts a smile on your face. It can be anything like playing with your pet or kids, walking in a park, or even talking with someone who makes you forget about things and allows you to be who you are without judgement. It can even be something like getting a massage or going to a spa or even doing a crazy happy dance!
If you’re looking for ways to improve your overall health, lifestyle, eating habits, relationships, or things in your life then self-care is something you need to focus on and practice as often as you can because if you are feeling good then everything around and about you will be good also.
I’m looking for people who are willing to prioritize their health and wellbeing, if you are one of them then please send me a message and let’s talk about ways I can support you.
